Time for a family reunion. :)

Lucas the Doctor
What a nice note :)

SPOILER ALERT: The aircraft Reggie left on was a 737 MAX. OK, I'm being kind of a jackass there! :D (They're still out of service at the moment, I believe?)

In all seriousness, this is nice to see. It's going to be nice to see everyone reunited again and we're almost there! :)
kennethsarmstrong 16th Nov 2020, 6:40 AM
Remember that Frey has been doing his best to keep current events out of his strip, at least for now. This is likely why Reggie was flying on a 737 MAX.
kennethsarmstrong 19th Nov 2020, 6:38 AM
This morning, the FAA allowed the 737 MAX to return to service. The airlines can now book more people on the 737 MAX and eliminate some flights on that route.

Freyfox's plot point on the 737 MAX is now moot as a result.

By the way I think I just ended up leaving another comment on the previous strip, and I think I've figured out the problem. I tend to keep this tab open on my browser (I keep way too many tabs open!) and when I refresh it, it shows the newest strip but for some reason still shows the comment section/strip number in the box below the strip as being the previous one, so when I comment it ends up leaving the comment on the previous strip. I think this is some weird change they did when they updated the comment system and everything on ComicFury because when I did this before it never did anything like this and I had no problems. Maybe it's just the weird way I keep my browsing windows open :D

Yes you did! If it's only happening to you then it must be you ^^.

Given the speed of mail from the US to Japan, sounds like the Harveys are enjoying a very long stay in LA.
FreyFox 16th Nov 2020, 4:43 AM
You can see that Reggie is clearly emailing her. Sasha would have had to collect a print out issued to her by the prison commissary.
kennethsarmstrong 16th Nov 2020, 6:43 AM
I did not think that prisoners would be allowed to have email sent to them. I assume that the prison issues its own email addresses so that it can better monitor the prisoners' communications. A prisoner would have to give a handwritten letter to a prison official, who would have to screen it and then type it in.

All prisons do their best to keep cell phones out of the hands of prisoners for security reasons. I can't imagine the Institution allowing a prisoner to send an email unmonitered, even if all emails are screened before they are sent out.
FreyFox 16th Nov 2020, 11:46 AM
It's a comic, it doesn't have to be entirely realistic.
kennethsarmstrong 16th Nov 2020, 5:29 PM
I do not want to be a wet blanket, but there was an American case about 15 years ago where someone smuggled a cellphone to a prisoner. He called his girlfriend to arrange an escape during a status hearing for an outstanding case. He managed to overpower his guards and murdered two of them while escaping. Since then, most prisoners are checked to make sure that they do not possess a cell phone.

Prisons also keep an eye out for gang activities within the prison. Inbound and outbound mail is screened For gang activity. Alleged gang leaders have additional restrictions put on their mail and phone communications to keep them from communicating with their old gang.

Dude...it’s just a comic!
kennethsarmstrong 17th Nov 2020, 2:29 AM
i never said it wasn't.

That would likely explain how Lyle Hudson was able to recruit the warthog and lizard who kidnapped Linda. Hudson got them both paroled early in exchange for them helping to kidnap Jess Randall.

(I'll shut up now.)
kennethsarmstrong 26th Nov 2020, 11:16 PM
EDIT πŸ™„: The original plan for Brett and company was to kidnap Jack Randall Sr. However, they found Jess instead and kidnapped her.

Now I'll shut up.
WaxBadger 16th Nov 2020, 6:01 PM
Hmmm, I wouldn't have picked up on Reggie e-mailing because yeah you can do that with a phone but there's other things you can do too. I would figure he would have the whole thing written out and sent before going to the airport but then again, there's always the one to two hour wait.
David31 16th Nov 2020, 4:09 AM
Reggie is going to have quite the warm welcome, when he arrives it would seem.πŸ˜€
kennethsarmstrong 16th Nov 2020, 6:33 AM
Here. We. Go.

I guess Mum and dad will be staying for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I doubt that Trevor will be able to fly in, but he still could be on tour overseas.
FreyFox 16th Nov 2020, 11:46 AM
Well, definitely thanksgiving ^^
Shaggy 16th Nov 2020, 2:31 PM
Nice little letter :-)

It's all down to the meeting. Hopefully, Reg has gotten the message that Sasha will stay longer-18 not 14 months. (I guess not since Frey gave no indication that he got the message, and in reality, it is extremely difficult for prisoners to relay outgoing messages of any kind.)
FreyFox 19th Nov 2020, 11:40 AM
You don't think that Sasha's lawyer or Spencer would have informed Reggie? I mean, I didn't draw Reggie going to the toilet before his flight. Doesn't necessarily mean it didn't happen :P
kennethsarmstrong 19th Nov 2020, 5:08 PM
I would think that Zezlow would have informed Reggie of Sasha's additional sentence.

By the way, I thought that Zezlow was a weasel. After checking the archive, I am not so sure. Could he be a wolf?
FreyFox 19th Nov 2020, 11:05 PM
No, he's definitely a weasel.
kennethsarmstrong 20th Nov 2020, 5:24 AM
OK... He was either a weasel or a shark.

Before anyone says something, those two animals are closely associated with lawyers.

I am sure that there are good and caring lawyers that advertise their services. It is the ambulance chasers that give legal advertisements a bad name.

No, sharks were not mentioned in that strip.
