Randall: *shoots the clock*

Clock corpse: So you have chosen... death.

Looks that way!

If the clock actually fricking *talks* that would be the moment this strip jumped the shark, lol

The clock is probably the scariest thing in the estate, all things considered XD XD XD

Ah he forgot his old man (or coyote in this case) had arthritis. It must be from all this excitement and property damage. No doubt he's secretly enjoying himself. ;-) :D

Hope that clock wasn’t an antique.

"What the hell was that noise?"

They're too stupid to recognize the sound of gunfire? Barney Fife could mop up these bunch of losers!

It is fortunate that Randall's enemies tend to be dumber than he is, lol.

Hmm... I hope this is nothing more than a dead clock… although I'm sure Lyle and his goons probably heard that.
WaxBadger 20th Sep 2019, 6:21 AM edit delete reply
Hiding behind the clock has ceased to be an option.

GopodcaptainKook At the risk of starting a flame war, I don't see any problem with a talking clock, even a grandfather clock. I see no problem with a talking grandfather clock, especially one that can set itself instead of someone having to set the clock every time we switch between standard and daylight time. Arizona, with the exception of some native American reservations, observe standard time year-round. I guess most Arizonians did not want to have to change their clocks twice a year when the US adopted daylight savings time in the early seventies.

I would be OK if it was just a computer with a robo voice or something, but if it straight up just starts talking and coming to life, now THAT would be a little too surreal for me and way out of place.

Then again we had an evil car come to life and try to kill people all so it could have Russ all to itself, so maybe this *wouldn't* be as out of place as I thought. It would still be WEIRD as all get-out though lol

And when talking cars came out in the 1980's, consumers did not want them so manufacturers abandoned the idea. Ever read "Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy", where the products of Sirius Cybernetics Corporation had robots with Genuine People Personalities, and people hated them?
