Fox Of Kings Island
What's wrong with One Direction!? (I get ot that they were boy bands... but I have heard worse groups).

*the same digging team is trying to save Jess, again, but sense Brett again and ho away* Dangit! We'll have to try a new path!

In college, I drew a cartoon where a neighbor is playing loud heavy metal music, so the person goes to the neighbor's house and sings Culture Club's "Miss Me Blind", which the neighbor cannot tolerate and it kills him.

Hey that's a good album Colour By Numbers, lol

Jack is probably gonna do to Brett what he did to his Ex-wife’s lover.

A horny perv and One Direction, oh the horror!
Jake Elmer 30th Aug 2019, 3:22 AM edit delete reply
@David31 i’d rather listen to a madman dragging his claws along chalkboard.

Are you kidding? "Blurred Lines" would have been far worse!
LapisHusky 30th Aug 2019, 8:25 PM edit delete reply
Yeah, I'm not all that of a fan of One Direction, but come on. They made at least a couple good songs. And that's coming from someone who likes Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, The Killers, Imagine Dragons, AJR, Bastille, and AC/DC.
FreyFox 1st Sep 2019, 12:39 AM edit delete reply
You have to remember this is Jess we're talking about lol

You may dislike One Direction, but as far as I know they didn't do a song with vulgar lyricss and an even more vulgar video.
FreyFox 2nd Sep 2019, 8:56 AM edit delete reply
*I* don't dislike One Direction. But a punk chick like Jess sure does :P

I dunno, one's opinion on a group like 1D would depend on whether or not one considers teeny-bopper boy band music to have any actual worth to it. Personally, I don't-I find it to be dime-a-dozen corporate churned out stuff that has been done about a hundred times before, and the overwhelming majority of people who would enjoy the stuff are the girls who would be more interested in ogling the boys. You can trace this kind of mostly IMO soulless music all the way back to the Monkees or if you're feeling REALLY daring, the Beatles (although, wake me up when a group like 1D actually makes groundbreaking albums or tries to push forward the boundaries of rock and pop music). Call me a music elitist or a snob if you will-I've been told I am one before and that I need to get off the fricking high horse :D

But I'll say one thing, I don't like this kind of music and personally have no use for it, but I won't go out of my way to mock people who genuinely enjoy this stuff. I try to take a "diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks" approach towards things as Sly and the Family Stone once said :D I may not PERSONALLY see any appeal whatsoever in something but am willing to recognize it has an appeal to somebody and accept and be tolerant of that. Also, I don't go out of my personal way to force myself to subject myself to this kind of music or harp on how much I personally dislike it at any given opportunity. There's a lot of people who do that-having been a lifelong fan of '60s and '70s rock and with my tastes now broadening more into the '80s and '90s as well...I've seen god only knows how many classic rock videos on Youtube featuring songs by groups I like in which the top rated comment was something like "ALL THE DISLIKES ARE JUSTIN BIEBER FANS"-First of all, no, the average fan of that kind of music is MOST likely not going to have any sort of interest in classic rock. Second, I don't understand why people would voluntarily expose themselves constantly to music they already know they fervently dislike. Why self-torture yourself like that, are you a masochist? And why even bring up the names of those groups or artists in the first place? All you're doing is giving them attention and in this world bad publicity is *almost* non-existent. If you really and truly dislike something, then don't even acknowledge it unless a situation comes up where you might actually have to say so, IE someone asks you personally. Then again I guess I'm a hypocrite, because I have voluntarily checked out some of the absolute worst in bootleg video gaming :D

That said, I could totally understand being angered and mortified over being forced to listen to music you don't like without having a say-so in the matter, like poor Jess here :D Sorry for the long post again Frey, just wanted to comment on all this :D

It doesn't matter what type of music it is. You can hear ANY song being played over and over again and eventually you'll come to hate it.
ZsewqTheWolf 2nd Sep 2019, 4:09 AM edit delete reply
hey atless is better listening to someone wack shit mix tape of them rapping so bad (it happens a lot in LA where an up and coming rappers happen a lot and most of the time is bad stuff)
Long Tom 2nd Sep 2019, 3:05 PM edit delete reply
Humor columnist Dave Barry once ran a poll for readers to tell us which songs they considered worst. "MacArthur Park" was the first choice, "Yummy Yummy Yummy" was the second, and "Having My Baby" was the third. (I would have ranked the last song as the worst. MacArthur Park" was merely unintentionally funny.)

I'll listen too anything I find catchy. Mostly rock, and 90s rap. But never ever would I listen to one direction! XD

This maybe explained later, but why does Brett's father allow this poor behavior? Or is their affluenza out of control?
GoodKaptainKook 30th Aug 2019, 9:13 AM edit delete reply
Probably because he's already shown himself to be an amoral crook willing to do whatever it takes to get himself ahead and step over whoever it takes to do so. So it's no surprise he'd be 100% cool with Brett behaving like that. Doubtless he probably picked it up from him. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, y'know.

The fact that "affluenza" is a valid defense that can actually fly in a North American courtroom makes me weep...

Keeping in mind what Randell did the last time someone got too close to a loved one and the whole castration thing, I could see that or worse happening if someone tried it with his daughter. Getting dumped half naked in the middle of nowhere is probably the one and only warning he'll get.
FreyFox 30th Aug 2019, 3:06 PM edit delete reply
The lesson of this story is - do NOT piss off Jack Randall Jr :)

Not looking good... Jess, you better use your feet and kick that groper or I'm going to wish that your dad DID have an army tank.
