Here is a word from our co-writer for this chapter;

"Hi there readers! I wanted to use this time to thank everyone for reading this comic arc. I spent a lot of time planning it and wanting it to come out right. I’m sorry you all got worried about Willow going down a dark path, but you all knew that things would turn around in the end for Willow and she would get help. I also want to thank Frey for accepting the story and drawing the comics. I really appreciate that you brought the story to write. I can’t wait to read about the new adventures that the Transmission gang will run into.

-Daniel Noble".

You're welcome Daniel, as dark and deep as this arc is, it's a very poignant one and one of the deepest and saddest this comic has seen. But it's very true to life, and sadly, as much as I'd like to *wish* otherwise, real life is often not all sunshine and roses and often full of grim, gritty, miserable spots!

Hmm, do Willow and Timothy actually have different last names despite being married? That's not something I see super commonly, but it definitely is becoming more common for married women to keep their last name nowadays (or to add their spouse's last name to their and have a double, hyphenated last name). Nothing wrong with that!

Willow adopted Tim's surname to become Willow Speed-Schouten, but it's easier just to say her maiden surname. Her children have their dad's surname.

Cool.

I do not see how Willow’s adoption of her husband‘s surname is so unusual. Usually the woman who marries takes on her husband’s surname. There was one exception, however. And Kevin and Kell, Kevin Kindle adopts his wife’s surname, Dewclaw, after his birth family disowned him for marrying a wolf.

No, that's not what I was trying to say at all. I am well aware that it is very commonplace for the wife to change her last name to her husband's-that is what I was pointing out. What I was trying to say was that it was less common for the wife to keep her last name and/or add his last name to her own and have the two hyphenated.

@Jesse a few familiar faces and some new ones but I'll say no more.

When are we going to see Jason again Frey?

@Lapis Next year.

Also, it would be nice to see more of Randall. We really don't know too much about him.

Looks like the place was rebuilt from a former motel, nice!

Great job Mr. Noble, you live up to your last name.
Long Tom 13th Jul 2019, 12:34 PM edit delete reply
Actually I don't think the place was a conversion, simply a motel room was sued for the purpose. Organizations like that typically use public community center spaces though.

Thanks for the interesting story, Daniel. It was really interesting and somewhat scary seeing exactly how Willow would turn out. I enjoyed it nonetheless!

Even comedies tackle heavy-hitting subjects sometimes. There are more than a few episodes of M.A.S.H. that're like that, for example. Seinfeld, Friends, King of Queens, and so on.

Will and Grace, Big Bang Theory, Two And A Half Men, Mike And Molly, DC Legends Of Tomorrow (or at least the more recent seasons), Cheers,and a few others that are like DCLOT. That have funny and dark relationship moments.

Here's hoping to a more allowable and friendlier Willow-from one who teases her in previous posts, she can be named "Will-high" as she is finally learning what alcoholism can gravely do to her. ;-)

I wasn't too worried about Willow. I knew she would get better :-)
LapisHusky 13th Jul 2019, 6:00 AM edit delete reply
Me too.

Obviously the story would have been far too depressing if Willow had gone the other way.

Good luck, Willow. You got this.
