Does it have a bar as well? Maybe not the right question to ask LOL

Gah, all these teary-eyes are...seemingly causing some strange liquid substance to start dripping from my own eyes as well. Men ain't supposed to cry, so what the hell is this?! XD
FreyFox 5th Jul 2019, 12:35 AM edit delete reply
Oh crying doesn't discriminate, hehe.

I was only kidding, lol! If anything, I actually think it *far* from unmanly for a man to cry and it's better to let your emotions out from time to time rather than cork them up and bottle them inside and never let them show.

The fact that men are often expected to keep their emotions to themselves, I'm pretty sure, is a part of the reason women live longer :D

My guess is that Willow doesn’t quite grasp what one expects in rehab.

Insert Russel saying "Are you sure she isn't still boozed?" here. ;)

The part where Glenda asked if the facility has a bar was kind of funny. It reminds me of a report I once saw about Ozzy Osbourne going into rehab. He was quoted as asking if the rehab facility had a bar, and whether it had a cover charge.

I wish the author had an email address for private comments. There are times when someone may not want to share his or her thoughts online.

Who is Glenda? Her name is Willow :P The bar joke was My dad's idea ^^.

I made a mistake on the name. I think it was about 1:00 AM CDT (UTC-5) when I posted this; I was fighting a lack of sleep and an Android dictation function on an iPod that mangles my Chicago accent. (Try using a dictation program with a Scottish or English accent; that would be just as messy as well.) Also, I have to deal with a browser with auto-correct that changes the occasional word to what it thinks is US English.

I have a lot of speakerphone communication breakdowns myself, lol

You'll be fine Willow, it could be a lot worse for you at this point.

FreyFox 5th Jul 2019, 9:07 AM edit delete reply

Raindrops are falling, but though they have the blues, they do have some bright path to have a happy future. She has set herself free and soon those red eyes will be gone.
(Loosely put to this setting after listening to BJ Thomas' song, "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head.")

This kind of sight is why some kids grow up to NEVER touch the booze. And (not being political here) but President Trump doesn’t drink: his brother died from abusing alcohol).
FreyFox 7th Jul 2019, 10:05 AM edit delete reply
It's the sort of thing that would traumatise kids yeah :(
GoodKaptainKook 8th Jul 2019, 12:01 AM edit delete reply
The sad inverse of that being that those kids grow up to be drunken and/or abusive themselves, because that's all they've known growing up. Which makes me all the prouder to see people grow up to break family cycles like that!

Ronald Reagan mentioned in "An American Life" that his own father has a drinking problem, but that he got drunk not because he failed, but when he was successful. No mention of any other Reagan family members about drinking alcohol (and I read the others).
