It wasn't just the bottle that broke that day.

And that's how you discover your errors! Simple as that! Now how to deal with Evil Willow... I got it!

Evil Willow: I am Evil Willow! I will... *gets eaten by Snakey*

Snakey: Not thisssssss time!
GoodKaptainKook 1st Jul 2019, 12:04 AM edit delete reply
Now *that's* what looks like it finally got through to Willow. The fact that it's affecting her kids!
David31 1st Jul 2019, 12:07 AM edit delete reply
No, no, no Will-Low! You're supposed to smash that bottle across your own face!!!!

Well she's bleeding anyhow, but she ought to be unconscious after what she's done!
GoodKaptainKook 1st Jul 2019, 12:23 AM edit delete reply
No, I think the red in her face is either from extreme guilt/shame or she's about to vomit her guts out. Unless she dropped the bottle on her foot...
FreyFox 1st Jul 2019, 5:31 PM edit delete reply
That's not bleeding.
David31 5th Jul 2019, 12:09 AM edit delete reply
Then you need to do a bit of re-colouring Mark, as the red is going onto her paws, rather then staying on her face.
FreyFox 5th Jul 2019, 12:34 AM edit delete reply
Yeah just a tad. I can fix that. She's not bleeding. Not on the outside anyway..
Dan 2nd Jul 2019, 12:29 AM edit delete reply
She’s not bleeding. She’s visibly ill at what she did.

Ah, the penny finally drops - so to speak. And just as it looks like the grown-ups have failed to make Willow see sense, Becky succeeds. Can't say I saw that coming.

And once again, great artwork - particularly on Willow's silent 'oh shit' moment.
FreyFox 1st Jul 2019, 5:31 PM edit delete reply
I felt a bit moved drawing those expressions

Oh god, this one really hit. I didn't hurt anyone, but I did have a moment of clarity. A night of humiliation at a party with friends. Wrecked the bathroom after mixing dairy with a hard liquor six pack that I had downed in single digit minutes. Mercifully, our host was sympathetic and understanding. And thankfully, that moment of clarity happened and I said, "You have got to get your shit together Daniel, because this ain't happening again."

Sure hope this does it for Willow.
FreyFox 1st Jul 2019, 5:32 PM edit delete reply
Good thinking!
Shaggy 1st Jul 2019, 1:23 AM edit delete reply
And now she finally understands. This is sad :-(

Every mother’s worse fear.

There's nothing better suited to motivating someone to quit their addiction other than to put the fear of god into them.

Oh good, she is starting to realize what is going on. I thought she did not love her children, but the last two cels of her are showing it...
Thwaitesy 1st Jul 2019, 3:23 AM edit delete reply
Maybe they should have sent the kids in rather then the whole Intervention thing....it's done a hell of a better job lol

Bravo young Becky, you did it sweetie.

I had one bout with drinking alcohol, a favorite wine in my case. I'd been or so I had thought sipping it down at a fairly decent rate. I discovered to my horror that in fact I'd been sipping the wine in anger. I got up from where I'd been and emptied both glass and bottle into my toilet while looking myself in the mirror and saying, " This is not me. This is not who I am ". haven't had any wine outside of church communion.
FreyFox 1st Jul 2019, 5:34 PM edit delete reply
Well done :)

Thank you, FreyFox.

Hopefully what I did and said along with what you've shown, will inspire people to think first about what's going on.

Good move Tim keeping the kids quiet until you needed them, definitely a back-up plan in action. Now it's clear.
Anon 4th Jul 2019, 11:42 PM edit delete reply
I think Tim kept the kids in their room or somewhere separate from the intervention but got out and ran into her.
Hunter1985 1st Jul 2019, 6:33 AM edit delete reply
Well the remorse has finally came, but how will she cope with admitting her drink problem?
Foxkitty 1st Jul 2019, 6:39 PM edit delete reply
5$ says that they weren't really hurt and all this was staged by the others to actually get Willow to go trough her rehab. Yeah, I ain't buying this for a second.
FreyFox 2nd Jul 2019, 12:25 AM edit delete reply
Read comic 625 and you'll be $5 poorer :P
LapisHusky 3rd Jul 2019, 5:45 AM edit delete reply
I would've said the same thing Frey. LOL!!🤣🤣
Foxkitty 3rd Jul 2019, 7:45 PM edit delete reply
Yeah, still don't trust a bunch of brats. Kids are backstabbin' lil' bastards.
FreyFox 3rd Jul 2019, 11:11 PM edit delete reply
Some are, some aren't. Enjoy your sour grapes and humble pie!

From the mouthes of babes often comes the truth. A mother cannot deny what her child is saying if it's the truth.

I think Willow finally realized that when she is drinking she does not remember what she is doing.

Now, she has to go back and apologize to her friends, if they are still there.
FreyFox 3rd Jul 2019, 11:30 AM edit delete reply
That's just it, drinking can cloud people's memories.
LapisHusky 3rd Jul 2019, 5:51 AM edit delete reply
I was gonna say the same thing about Willow realizing that she hurt her kids and having that "Oh SHIT!" moment. But everybody beat me to it. 😅😅
Vicus Feles 3rd Jul 2019, 6:03 AM edit delete reply
I will never drink beer because it tastes like shit to me, a family member gave me one (it was less than 3% and it was mostly made out of oatmeal) one sip and I ended up spitting it in the sink because it tasted so bad.
FreyFox 3rd Jul 2019, 11:31 AM edit delete reply
Never heard of beer made from oatmeal before... I was always more partial to cider and wine anyway.
GoodKaptainKook 3rd Jul 2019, 11:26 PM edit delete reply
Alcohol tends to taste pretty bad across the board to me. Rum is probably the worst, I tried a sip of it and had to spit it out because it felt like my mouth was burning afterwards. I don't understand how people can get hooked on something that tastes like crap, but I guess everyone's taste buds are different :D
FreyFox 4th Jul 2019, 10:06 AM edit delete reply
It's because they probably feel grown up or rebellious doing it, or its peer pressure. Same with smoking.
Anon 4th Jul 2019, 11:42 PM edit delete reply
For rum it helps to mix it with Coke or in a mixed drink. But yeah rum itself is a bit hard to get down

If ya don't want to give up drinking entirely, moderation is key
