I'm telling you, this is NOT going to end on a happy note. I sincerely hope this doesn't end on the worst case scenario like I worry it might with Willow destroying her marriage...I don't THINK you'd go that route, but I could easily see it. People choosing alcohol/partying as more important to them than the people who care about them sadly IS all too true to real life, and many a marriage and family has been utterly wrecked by that. Likewise, I'm dearly hoping Willow doesn't do something that seriously endangers herself/Timothy/the kids/innocent people (like driving drunk and getting into an accident...)

...Oy. Frey, you've really put these two into quite the dilemma and I'm definitely worried their relationship won't survive this one. Seeing as how you did some rather sweet moments with them (that piece you did over on FA with Timothy cuddling with a pregnant Willow is still my favorite piece of yours, totally adorable!)...that'd be really sad to see happen. Of course that's your call, but man that would be rather heart-wrenching to watch.

Although I'm sure you'd have some people who would be OK with seeing their relationship dissolve! (I know I've seen a few people say they're jealous that Willow is taken, because I'm sure they'd totally have a shot with her if she's single! *rolls eyes*)

He ain’t gonna drop the cop act.
He’s gonna crack this case like an eggshell.

Oh! Here we go! I knew that this will happen- the beginning of a betwesmall riften these two. This does remind me of that orangina commercial of that wolf splitting up with her boyfriend and wanting to be free-spirited, less serious and enjoy life with desires & parties than having marriage, family, job and other responsibilities.

What commercial Excelsior_Thirty?
LapisHusky 31st May 2019, 5:42 PM edit delete reply
Never mind, found it.
That is a weird commercial, for a orange juice commercial.

Being bluntly honest, if partying, drinking, and being free with no responsibilities is more important to you than having a family and being settled down...then why the hell would you even get married and have kids in the first place?! Somebody who that's true for IMO should *not* get married-ever-in the first place. (Then again, without a job how do you *afford* a partying lifestyle in the first place?! Well, I suppose if she and Tim-God forbid-end up splitting she'd use the alimony money to fund it...)

Seriously though, it bothers me that a lot of people *really* take marriage lightly. If you aren't prepared to spend a lifetime with somebody and actually willing to HANDLE those responsibilities...then IMO you shouldn't get married. Stay single and care-free, you'll probably be happier that way. I see a lot of people out there in these "whirlwind" romances who get caught up in the lovey-dovey feelings and get married quickly with no forethought of what the future might bring, and, no surprise, usually those marriages don't last long when reality catches up with them. I dunno what the circumstances of these two's courtship was-Frey, care to give me an idea of how long they saw each other before they tied the knot? Would like an idea if you don't mind :D

Sorry for the rant, but that is kind of something that bugs the heck out of me. To me it would be heavily hypocritical getting married or even *trying* for a long-term relationship if commitment and responsibilities mean nothing to you, because choosing to tie yourself down like that-to me-implies that you are prepared and willing to handle those kind of potentially life-long responsibilities. Maybe it's just me and my whole view on what marriage and lasting relationships are and should be is totally out of whack or obsolete, but that's just how I feel :D

They knew each other for several years before tying the knot and having kids. However both kids were unexpected, and Willow just wasn't ready for it all. Neither was Tim actually, but he seems to be able to handle it better, probably because he's the one that gets time away from them.

Speaking of, we know that Becky was born in 2013 and Ralf in 2015. What year were Tim and Willow married because I am wondering if the two got married because Becky was on her way.

I know, and really, that wolf is such a *i#%h if it approaches life w/o a care-dignified furs wouldn't marry her. Well for Tim and Willow-and how she got to escape getting a ticket to marry him...

She's not a wolf....
Excelsior_Thirty 2nd Jun 2019, 3:01 AM edit delete reply
I feel she is for the short muzzle, no muzzle mark and that growl. Despite the white tail apex, I know for sure she wasn't vulpine.
FreyFox 3rd Jun 2019, 12:19 AM edit delete reply
She's obviously a raccoon. The mask, the ringed tail, etc. The angry demeanor certainly isn't out of place ^^.

You know Willow, if you have the time to party like you did and your dad is fine with taking the kids while you're out, maybe you should get a part time job. You'll make a little more money for yourself and the family and it sets a positive example.

Looks like Willow forgot one teeny tiny detail about Tim these days....He's a Detective. It's his Job to uncover the truth. And he's just gotten a pretty BIG clue just now.

Alcohol makes some people very forgetful and impairs their judgement...

Looks like Willow gets moody when she is in denial or hates herself cos of her drink and drug problems.
FreyFox 1st Jun 2019, 8:36 AM edit delete reply
Pretty much the case!

Also, Frey...I wanna apologize for giving you so many rants on these past couple strips, I'm sorry :D It's just the issues this arc is dealing with are that I feel very strongly about and are kind of an axe-grinder for me, and it's depressing to see a family potentially on the verge of being irreparably broken. I've had to witness an (already) dysfunctional family totally implode and go at violently at each other's throats first-hand on my own in my mother's extended family (all over the issue of money once the grandparents died) and it's something that was an extremely tough and painful experience for me to go through (complete with aunts and uncles trying to drag me into picking sides...). So seeing Tim and Willow's relationship and family potentially ripping itself apart is something that very much hits home to me, you see...I mean, dysfunctional and severely broken families like the Simpsons and Family Guy can be hilarious in cartoonish media portrayals (although IMO Family Guy stopped being funny *long* ago for me), but they are *NOT* funny and enjoyable to experience first-hand. Not at all.

Again, I'm sorry for ranting so much. But I suppose there's nothing wrong with having things you feel you need to say when you feel very strongly about something...right?
FreyFox 1st Jun 2019, 8:37 AM edit delete reply
That's okay. We do want to sometimes make the stories relatable to some degree. *hug*
