Jeez...I had a feeling this was gonna be ugly, I didn't think it would be quite THIS ugly :( Ouch man. That hurts seeming them so damn angry at each other. And look what you guys have done, you've brought Linda to tears!

Man, I hope there's some way to patch things up between all of them because this is probably one of the 2-3 saddest strips in the entire comic :(

What are the other two?

Probably stuff from Jason's introductory arc...Although I admit that might have been even more impactful on me had I been following the strip at the time!

But thing is I bet Russ does realize it's partially his fault too, but he's ,at the moment at least, refusing to accept his own contribution to Reggie's problems. Because as Reg said he went to Russ for help and Russ left him high and dry.

Indeed, though he did catch his brother at a bad time during a busy shift where he was trying to deal with a customer, rather than wait patiently.
Thwaitesy 31st Jan 2019, 12:42 AM edit delete reply
True, but Russ could have said "just let me deal with this customer, then we'll talk" or "We'll hash it out after work" but he didn't.

Russell and Reginald really do love each other, you know...

Love is like gravity. It seems strong because there's so much of it around, but it's actually the weakest force. (That's why, if you drop an anvil from a height, it doesn't crash through to the centre of the earth. The electromagnetic force that holds rocks and things together is thousands of times stronger.)

Likewise, nearly anything can break love apart; patriotism, duty, peer pressure, distance... The number of marriages broken up by money woes is shocking! If you want to keep your relationships together, you have to constantly guard them and care for them.

And this is what happens when you don't. There's a solid Trump-wall between them now. Their own pride is going to break them apart forever. But there are ways around any wall if you're determined. Somebody might need to box their ears to get their attention, though, and rub their noses in some hard Truth.

And I can think of three people who'd probably be willing to do it, too. There's Linda, of course, and Sasha... and what about their mum? She'd have to cross an ocean, but I bet she's boxed their ears once or twice! I know which of the three I think would be the most fun to watch.

I reckon it's be someone from their family. Someone who has known them for a very long time.

WOW, now that was REALLY fiery-that blew me away! I can't say to Linda that she can't cry-I can feel that Reggie is really a brother to her, not in-law.
The best thing to prove to Russ that she is trustworthy is to show it as soon as she leagally leaves jail-however long that may be...
