This is payback for all the hassle those aggressive US Customs people have given me every time I've entered the country!

That said, they're not all unpleasant and aggressive. Some of them that I've encountered are not actually all that bad ^^.

I've had good ones when I've come and gone from the States, mind I've only been there once ;p. Amsterdam Schiphol was the rudest, gave me hell about my passport being a bit dog-eared.

My friend once had a customs official in Germany call over his customs-offical friends and laugh at my friend's passport photo in front of the entire airport. That was some funny shiz :D

I think I know the reason, Reggie. Post-9/11 paranoia. Before September 11th, 2001, U.S. Customs wasn't nearly as aggressive, but after 9/11, you'd think U.S. Customs were suspecting that anyone born outside America was a terrorist.

I just like to tell these guys, "Hey! 9/11 happened 15 years ago. Cool it down a notch!" That's one of the reason my faith in this country is slipping.
